Behind the Scenes: Good Things
Posted by Shira Savada
We had fun shooting Good Things from our Real Weddings issue and couldn't resist sharing a little look at our time in the photo studio.
Our box of rocks. Everything came neatly labeled and bundled.
Here, a pound of cirtine, ready to be photographed.
These lush blooms were on hand for our flower hair accessory ideas.
Yellow blooms always make me happy, these in particular were total smile-inducers.
Our smaller blooms, stephanotis, and orchids, ready to be crafted into crowns.
This might look like green ice, but it's another type of rock we used for our escort display.
With purple as my favorite color, it's obvious this would be a hit for me.
The shape of this quartz was so cool, like little crystal formations. It reminded me of when I tried to grow rock candy as a kid.
A rack of gowns for our various styles of brides to wear with their floral hair adornments.
An aerial shot of the kids' table before being tweaked and styled. I'd be excited to sit here!
Those pigs' tales were the cutest.
Anne Elser hand-painted these calligraphed vow handerchiefs.
A smattering of the cake stands out there in the world. What a wide range to choose from.
Molly would certainly enjoy herself at this wedding, with a book of games, crayons at the ready, and a milk bottle with her name on it, she'll never want to leave.
Our sheep resting on the mini hay bales. Melissa created this setup, and it came together just perfectly.
