Here's Kate adding gold leaf to the foliage.
We found these letters at Tinsel Trading. Each of our initials: Kate, Shira, Michael, and Colleen.
Magenta mesh.
And Colleen making the garlands. We used tape dispensers to keep the monofilament taut.
We strung the garlands on a garment rack as we made them so they wouldn't get tangled.
A close-up of the garland that hung behind the cake. It's easy to make and packs a punch!
These are the wreath forms we used to hang our garlands on.
One more shot of the garland, before we hung them on wreath forms.
These are our medallion-topped favors, under development.
A cart holds roses, clematis, and jasmine. We moved it to the sun so the flowers would open up.
Another cart of flowers, including astilbe and zinnias.
Roses!
Hot pink petals.
I love roses like this, when the petals are crazy inside a ring of contained ones.
A blush pink bloom.
Orchids are so striking.
Some roses and the frames we used around our escort card display.
Four place settings that are completely different from each other: Philippe Deshoulieres "Carat", William Yeoward "Avington" and "Rosemoor" in magenta, J.L.Coquet "Hemisphere Gold", and Cru "Monaco".
An array of Kim Seybert napkins, all of which had metallic thread detailing.
Creative Candles tapers and the candle holders we covered with foil tape.
A random grouping of metallic items. Stainless steel cubes and a bud vase from Jayson Home and Garden. Pink and blue Nicholas Feuillatte Champagne minis.
Gold pailette fabric. We used this under the cake.
A selection of headpieces, from Colette Malouf and Untamed Petals.
Ban.do's sparkly barettes.
A few trays of jewelry and accessories including a Jennifer Behr haircomb and Jennifer Fisher bracelets (on the left).
Lots of clutches in every texture and color.
Various styles of metallic... gilded lace from Naeem Khan, sparkling sequins from Sarah Seven, and metallic threaded tweed from Kirribilla.
How lovely is the edge of this fabric?
A close-up of the gold lace dress from Naeem Khan.
A close up of the sequins. Pretty, right?
Another group of great clutches.
A classic gold reception chair from Party Rental Ltd.
A selection of metallic papers.
Mylar on the roll.
Bins of our supplies and metallic bits and bobs.
Candy!
I loved these leather "ribbons".
I became a bit obsessed with these foil tapes from Tape Jungle.
Not metallic, but still cool. This is our blue surface made using plaster.

Vintage rosettes from Tinsel Trading.
A Jennifer Fisher bracelet. I loved the closure on this one.
A selection of ephemera.
Envelope seals--or great additions to favors, paper bags, etc.
Crate and Barrel's pewter and gold banded tumbler.
The bud vase from Jayson Home and Garden.
Headband details.
A black-and-gold pair of pumps by L.K. Bennett.
A bold blue pair by L.K. Bennett... How rad would these be for your "something blue"?
Cap toes are a style we're excited is making a major comeback. Here are pointed-toe options by Guiseppe Zanotti and Ivanka Trump, and a round one from J.Crew.
I loved the finish on this Guiseppe Zanotti bag.
Teal stunner! Roger Vivier.
Melissa tried on this Matthew Williamson metal belt from Net-A-Porter.com.
Edie Parker sent us a few clutches that had glitter in lucite. They're smooth but have such depth to them.
Another Edie Parker. Her bags have a mirror inside so lipstick touch-ups are hassle free.
Here you can see the helpful interior. Room for the necessities and a mirror for make-up touch-ups.
If croc is your thing try this Alexandra Knight.
Kate on set showing our model the best way to hold the bouquet.
Making some last-minute adjustments.
Nearly there...
Here's a pulled-back shot, showing photographer Laurie Frankel framing up the shot, and Michael reviewing the photos as they come on to the screen.
A detail of the bouquet on the computer screen.
Another snapshot of the screen.
Here, we start to set the table.
We edged the place cards with a silver Sharpie!
Starting to shoot our table, with candles glowing, and our model ready to walk through the frame.
The foil stamping by Spark Letterpress on our invite was divine. It was such a soft shade of rose gold but sort of coppery too.
The beautiful handiwork of Cheryl Tefft of Calligraphics.
The little decorative "leaves" on the tail of the y in Ivy and above the s in Billings...amazing!
The invite suite with the calligraphed pieces added in.
Vintage postage from Champion Stamp Co. I thought it "rocked".
Can you see the reflection in the "black tie" imprint?
It's really quite spectacular.
Our cake from Mark Joseph arrives!
It was edged so delicately and reminded me of a beautifully edged invitation.
Subtle shimmery silver.
We covered the magnetic boards with fabric.
Using gaffer's tape to hold it in place.
Adding the magnets to the backs of the feathers we used to display our escort cards.
