I just got back from a trip to Nevis, a small island in the West Indies, and I've got to say, the place is glorious. Granted, I haven't taken many tropical vacations, but to me, it seemed like the ultimate destination wedding or honeymoon spot. White beaches, monkeys everywhere, and jungle hiking--I'll definitely be revisiting.
Though I stayed at the gorgeous Four Seasons' property (it has a ton of spaces for wedding weekend events and a lovely spa for manis, pedis, and hair styling), another spot that blew my mind was Golden Rock Plantation. It's a historic gem hidden way up in the hills and is perhaps the coolest hotel I've ever seen. Check out the gallery below for a couple of snapshots!
And, I'm curious, where in the world are you and your groom escaping to after the wedding?
2 Mango was my favorite restaurant on the Four Seasons' property. Situated right next to the golf course and on the water's edge, it'd be a stunning place to hold intimate nuptials or a rehearsal dinner.
5 This huge plaza was populated with local vendors when I was there. However, just think of its possibilities: organized wedding weekend activities, steel pan drum lessons, or dance classes.
6 The Cabana offers shady outdoor eats and a sweet bar. It'd be a great place for late-night wedding drinks or a next day brunch!
9 Coral Grill restaurant was absolutely stunning. The graphic black and white wallpaper was a dramatic contrast to the wooden ceiling beams. It'd be such a beautiful place for a wedding reception!
