Cocktail Hour: The Winter Sun

The weather in New York City has been cold, wet, and downright gloomy these past few days. Thankfully, I have this delicious and vibrant Winter Sun cocktail to share with you, courtesy of Dulcie and Sarah at Two Tarts. Made with fresh clementines and lemons, the drink strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tart, while a sprig of rosemary gives off a wintry, herbal aroma.  Garnish the rim with lemon zest and sugar, and it's ready to serve at a winter wedding. Cheers!

Winter Sun Cocktail (Serves 1)
Juice of 2 clementines (about 1/4 cup)
Juice of 1/2 lemon (about 1/2 oz.)
1/2 oz. triple sec
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 rosemary sprig
Lemon zest
Sugar

Directions: Combine zest and sugar in a shallow bowl or plate. Moisten the rim of your glass with fruit juice and turn it over onto plate to coat with zest and sugar. Pour juices, triple sec, and vodka into a shaker. Shake and then pour over ice. Garnish with rosemary sprig.
