Using only the best fabrics and employing couture techniques, Randi Rahm's presentations are always a treat. We got a chance to visit her and her "babies"—all inspired by Marie Antoinette—last night. Some of the highlights for me were the 3D beading on her Jill gown, an amazing floral-printed gown with a peplum, and a sheath that could perfectly suit both the red carpet and an aisle.
The shocking finale? A convertible gown that can be worn not two, but three (!) ways. It starts as an empire-waisted chapel-length gown, converts to an A-line and then sheds a layer to reveal a shimmering cocktail dress for the reception. If you've yet to strike gold on your dress expeditions, opt for the champagne-colored gown with degradé gold beading we loved at her studio, or better yet, pay her a visit yourself!
