The Scent of Marchesa

Posted by

Last night, I went to a great event to celebrate the first fragrance collaboration between Sephora and Marchesa: Parfum d'Extase, launching in September ($85). It was held at Crown on the Upper East Side in New York City, whose downstairs lounge would be an incredible place for an engagement party. We had cocktails in the lounge, then moved upstairs to this beautiful room (below) for dinner.

The scent is light and feminine (with iris, freesia, violet, jasmine, and musk), but with an edge that gives it staying power. And like the beautiful dresses designed by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, co-founders of Marchesa, the bottle itself is truly stunning, wrapped in a ribbon of faux pave diamonds. Get a sneak peek here.

The scent smelled so wonderful, I couldn't resist spritzing it on right at the table.

The gorgeous gown that'll be worn in the advertising campaign.
