Bride Rhianna with her son Casches, who was 17 days old when this picture was taken
So many brides end up barefoot by the end of their wedding night because their gorgeous shoes kill their feet. Why not consider wearing shoes that are comfortable so you can dance the night away? I realize the style isn't right for everyone but when our executive editor, Robin Sayers, passed along the photo above of a bride wearing Nina Z clogs, I saw proof that comfy could be cool.
The bride in question, Rhianna, wore a pair of Lena sandals to her City Hall nuptials on July 6 in Brooklyn, New York. Robin asked shoe designer Nina Ziefvert to give us some more insight into her friend's choice of wedding-day clogs. Turns out, Rhianna and Nina both have booths at the market, Brooklyn Flea. Rhianna has her own line of altered vintage clothing called Reclaimed Trading, and her silk dress was a slightly shortened and angled piece from her collection with the arms taken off to fit the special day. Pretty perfect for a city hall affair, no?
If this look isn't your thing, that's okay. But it might be right for your guests: Nina says that lots of guests get her sandals to wear to weddings.
