Destination Wedding Location Scout: Brasada Ranch

Posted by

Like many brides I know, Central Oregon's Brasada Ranch has a bit of a split personality—a little country-loving one day, and a little city-chic the next. And what's wrong with that? Take all things extravagant (spa treatments, hot tub decks, and five-star food) then surround them by dusty desert as far as the eye can see, and you get one stellar spot for a destination wedding.

Start off your rustic weekend by arriving a few days early to do as you please: Get your cowboy on at the Equestrian Center, or simply watch the cows go by from your private terrace. (No, really, see the cows here.) Once your guests arrive, bring them to nearby Bend for some fun—a meal at The Blacksmith and a rowdy beer sampling adventure aboard the Bend Brew Bus.

Come ceremony time, take your pick of breathtaking backdrops that require little to no extras since all eyes will be on you, your hubby-to-be, and the amazing views of the Cascade mountains. Maybe the coolest sight to be seen? Fiery sunsets (above) that wow every night like clockwork.

  • Unusual wedding locations are not unheard of these days, in fact, it seems like it has become a trend and couples are really including their personalities with their choices. But if the couple are a bit more traditional, then may it be an indoor or outdoor wedding, it can still be recreated adding up their styles as well, just like the cowboy style you can do with a lovely sunset wedding.
