I'm at Lauxmont Farms where Jayme and Chris tied the knot (I'll be reporting on Elizabeth Messina's A Lovely Workshop when I return) and I spied these gorgeous vessels made by Joe Cariarti. Cariarti is based in California and learned his techniques from the master glassblowers in Venice. He makes everything by hand, and the offerings are endless—colors, opacity, and silhouettes options galore. They make great gifts and are stunning enough alone or in groups.

What's your favorite?
P.S. We featured Cariarti's handiwork in our modern jewel tone color palette (it's the tall purple vase below):

I'm impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that's both educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy that I came across this in my search for something regarding this.
