If you're subscribed to our newsletter (sign up here!), you saw Friday's idea of a boozy snow cone station. We concocted the nostalgic spiked drinks for our spring issue and were happy to see that we're not the only ones feeling this trend: Villains Tavern in Los Angeles has been slinging snow cone libations using house made syrups (honey peach, ginger, kiwi-strawberry), fresh fruits and veggies, and spirits. I wanted to share these two lip-smacking cocktails.
What do you think: Are snow cones the new trend for weddings?
This beauty is made with mango, fresh lime, gin, honey, bitters, and it's garnished with chopped mango and a Luxardo cherry.
Strawberry-mint snow cone made with fresh strawberry, mint, lemon, simple syrup, bitters, and bourbon.

Is this just a cocktail with crushed/fine ice, or a real snow cone? Seems like the former....a snow cone has the ice all the way accessible to be eaten. The ice seems like an afterthought here.

@NikoXeno, no, the Sno does indeed go all the way through. The jar is packed with the crushed ice first, then the syrup is added after. It's a proper Sno-Cone, only booze spiked.
