Annemarie Buckley of Scout's Honor Co. loves the idea of guests writing notes of encouragement, congratulations, or advice to the couple on their wedding day. "But it can sometimes be a bit daunting to have your personal wishes shared with the other guests," she says. "So I appreciate when a guest book or wish cards are set up in a way that allows for some privacy."
To incorporate lemon and mint into the reception in a bold way, she came up with these geometric wish cards. Guests simply write their wishes on the backs of the cards, pin them to the wall, and let the pattern take shape as the wedding rolls on. "I would love to see a giant wall of these! There is really no wrong way to pin the cards, so it's easy for guests and the pattern possibilities are endless," says Annemarie.
Check out the gallery for a step-by-step of this idea, and the materials you need to create it.
1 Annemarie painted the pattern on watercolor paper using goauche paint. She then scanned it, cropped it to 3-inch by 3-inch squares, printed a bunch on ivory card stock, and trimmed them using an X-acto knife and ruler.
