An Afternoon Tea at the Dorchester!

Posted by Darcy Miller

Last weekend, I was honored by British wedding planner Mark Niemierko with a high tea at The Dorchester Hotel in London, England. The experience was amazing (and included the industry's top experts like designer Elizabeth Emanuel and hairdresser to the queen Ian Carmichael), and the venue was impeccable. At MSW, we always suggest picking a space with a tone that fits your wedding's theme. Well, Mark followed that advice to the letter. The hotel was elegantly British through and through. From the handsome soldier waiters to the passed tea sandwiches and classical music to our cake created by Peggy Porschen, he pulled out all the stops to create an authentic environment.

If you're looking for a UK honeymoon spot or wedding reception venue (maybe the royal wedding is influencing your own!), I would recommend the Dorchester. Check out this gallery for more inspiration, and click on this video for an inside look at the event.
