Event Design: Cabo San Lucas Inspiration, Part 1

Posted by

Thanks to the Cabo San Lucas event I designed back in November, we have been receiving tons of questions from brides asking about this Mexican city as a destination for their weddings. My partner Holly and I decided to take a trip down over the July 4th weekend to do more research.

While there, we stayed with our friends at the wonderful Capella Pedregal resort. It sits on the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula and can hold really intimate weddings. The resort is actually creating a bunch of wedding packages!

This image is from a recent wedding I designed at Capella Pedregal. I worked with Raj Tents to create a magical experience for my clients and their guests.

We were also thrilled to be invited to visit the Esperanza, an award-winning "green" resort. Along with an amazing cliff-side dinner prepared by the resort's chef, we were treated to a tour of the property by Claudia Morales, their events coordinator. She showed us some of their unique and inspiring locations perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Here, Claudia, Holly, and I, taking in the view before a delicious meal and beautiful sunset.

Later that week, we enjoyed a delightful lunch and tour of the Las Ventanas, hosted by guest experience manager, Mario Arriaga. The resort can accommodate weddings of up to 60 guests. From researching and fulfilling a couple’s most extravagant request to remembering their favorite bottle of wine, no detail is too big or too small.  I was very inspired by the bright white architecture and the elegant but luxurious spirit of the resort.

Each of these properties offers an unique, amazing, and truly unforgettable experience. The only challenge is trying to choose from so many wonderful options! If you haven't explored Cabo as an option for your destination wedding, I would suggest it.

Check back next week for the part two of my Cabo post!
