I had the pleasure of teaching another class at The Flower School New York last week. It's always such a wonderful experience for me to meet lovely students and flower fans from all over the world.
Normally I bring in buckets of delicious, classic blooms such as garden roses, sweetpeas, and peonies. But for this class, I thought it would nice to challenge everyone to create beautiful, lush arrangements using just a selection green pods, leaves, and blooms. I love vert floral arrangements, and the palette is a perfect solution for anyone wanting to add a sophisticated, chic edge to a rustic table setting or event.
Here, two students just finishing up their arrangements. The green hydrangea added a lushness to the array of smaller plant textures.
This wonderful student came all the way from Australia to enjoy her birthday in New York.
The touch of velvety gray-green dusty miller nicely accented the other foliage textures.
