One of my favorite summer pastimes is making bouquets with materials cut straight from my garden. I have an obsession with textures, so my plot is filled with delicate, tiny blooms, ferns, and fresh herbs.
I put together this beautiful bouquet over the weekend. It features columbine, lamb's ears, mint, oregano, catmint, viburnum, spirea, and lady's mantle. This combination is so fragrant, and I love its subtle summer tones. The bouquet conjured up memories of one of the first stories I did with Martha Stewart Weddings; it was shot in a beautiful garden and focused on cascading bouquets.
I decided to place my bouquet in a pale-blue enamel pitcher, and I'm now enjoying this lovely summer creation in my kitchen!
