The last party you attended with Jell-O shots is probably not one on which you want to model your wedding. But I'm seeing a resurgence of kitschy gelatin ideas (punch jelly, aspic) that are updated in sophisticated ways.
The biggest proponent of this trend is Michelle Palm, the blogger behind Jelly Shot Test Kitchen (whose book by the same name was just released). Palm reinterprets classic cocktails (French 75, margarita, old-fashioned) in jelly shot form, using only fine ingredients like fresh fruit and quality liquors.
The idea appeals to the kid in me, and they're surprisingly beautiful. Take a gander.
Palm shows them served on plates or individually in paper or spoons. What do you think about this idea for weddings?

Wow, this is a classy and FUN way to have a bunch of fun at any wedding reception. As the owner of a photo booth company I can tell you I have not seen anything so fun for quite a while.

As I was scrolling through I was thinking, 'Man I wish there was a Washington Apple Jello Shot' and low and behold lucky number 7. I'm in love!

Easy test to determine if something is classy:
If the word classy is used to describe something in lieu of refined or elegant, no.

LOVE it. In fact, I did this for a wedding a few weeks ago. My chef created the most delicious and chic looking jello shots with fruit on a Chinese wonton spoon. They were little shots of heaven and guests went crazy for them.

These are easy and fun to make. And it is easy to make large quantities of them in a small amount of space. Either you or your caterer could make them. The book contains plenty of artistic and tasteful recipes that would be appropriate for any wedding.

These are just lovely. However, these would have to be placed where children invited to the wedding could not grab at them, since they look like candies, or fun desserts! I would think they would be fun to serve at a very fancy cocktail party or a garden party for apertifs as well!

Weird. I Googled the author, Michelle Webster Palm to find more recipes and instead was linked to a slew of articles about financial fraud. Someone with her same name pled guilty to financial fraud and lying to federal agents. If that is her, I would just drink at that point , who cares about gelatin.
