For destination nuptials, playing off an obvious landmark is a great way to provide a sense of place for your wedding. Finding that dramatic feature may not always be easy depending on your wedding's locale, but at the Ladera Resort on St. Lucia, the Gros Piton, an enormous volcanic mountain, served as a perfect backdrop for the ceremony.
Although the peak was incredible, it was also rocky, gray, and barren. Adding colorful tissue pom-poms, a bright orange runner, and the St. Lucia flag enlivened the scene. At night, the majestic Titon became a dramatic force that brought solemnity to the evening hours.
