Designer inspiration: The fantasy of romance.
I caught up with Mrs. Herrera after the show to get her thoughts on the collection. She said she really wanted to design different gowns to reflect the unique personalities of different brides. Whether it's a relaxed or black-tie affair, a first or second wedding, the women of today really helped inspire her new collection. Each gown is special -- just like each bride.
She chose to contrast traditional fabrics with surprising materials such as duchess satin color-blocked with pale dove and Champagne hues. The embellishments were quite luxurious as well. The show was so inspiring that it's hard to pick a favorite dress. Let's just say, I loved them all!
