A friend just got back from my favorite city in the world, Paris. She was thoughtful enough to bring me back a little box of delicious Parisian sweets: macaroons.
Made with just a few ingredients, these treats are surprisingly hard to perfect but the French do it so well. The delicate shells give way to chewy centers and flavorful fillings like classic raspberry, lemon, and pistachio, and more avant-garde olive oil, grapefruit-Campari, and strawberry-balsamic vinegar.
I love macaroons so much that I even gave them out as wedding favors. I couldn't get them from Paris but these delectable (and closer-to-home) ones from Mad Mac satisfy my cravings quite nicely.

I love these! However, I must mention that this isn't the first time that I've seen these spelled with the double "o" on MS ... I believe that the correct French spelling is with a single "o" -- as in macarons.

Where can I find the packaging for that? I love it!
