I wanted the "country wedding" styled shoot to be sweet, feminine, and rustic, yet still chic. Thankfully, I found some fabulous lattice-patterned linen from Nuage Design that I used to build the clean country look. I also added pewter-edged white china and cutlery, and my favorite rustic-fancy Juliska glassware.

Groupings of super-simple white hydrangeas popped when surrounded by our own latticework luminarias.

To help the plain folding chairs match the sophistication of the table, I asked my friend Cherin Suzul of Customized Wedding Creations to try her hand at something new: hand-painted linen chair backs. She placed the couple's monogram within the same red scalloped border that appeared on the menu card and cake. Despite her initial trepidation, I think they made the tables! Instead of putting them on every chair back, which might have been a little overkill, we draped them on every other one.

I was thrilled to be a part of this shoot. Claudia was totally right. I'm happy to have made her vision come true with the chair backs. Though they made me nervous at first since I wasn't quite sure what she wanted, they simply turned out lovely and look wonderful as a full tablescape. Wonderful job, Claudia!
