Bachelorette Parties: Say Spahhhh

Posted by

Thinking about getting in a little R&R with the girls before the big day? Join the club -- spa bachelorette parties are hotter than ever right now, and for good reason. Personally, I can't think of anything better than an afternoon spent hanging out with my favorite crew, sipping champage, and indulging in a stress-busting treatment or two. Without further ado, here are my favorite spas for group pampering in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

New York: Townhouse Spa
This aptly named hot spot is situated in a beautifully renovated townhouse in the heart of NYC. It has several levels, private lounges, a truly insane sauna room, and really fun treatments like the uber-moisturizing JellyBath pedicure (which I'm a little bit obsessed with). If you go, you've got to try it. And let me know what you think!

Chicago: The Elysian Spa & Health Club
It's modeled after an ancient Greek bathhouse, but there's nothing old-school about the modern, light-filled 14,000-square-foot space. It has about a zillion treatment rooms (no, really, the place is huge!), plus mosaic-tiled saline pools and saunas so luxurious, you won't ever want to emerge. Except you should, because Michigan Avenue -- one of my favorite shopping destinations of all time -- is just steps away.
11 East Walton Street, Chicago (312-646-1310)

Los Angeles: Spa at Terranea
The only thing better than a mind-numbing massage? A mind-numbing massage in full view of the Pacific Ocean. And that's exactly what you'll get here, in addition to great people-watching (celebs are frequent visitors) and private patios complete with hot tubs and fire pits. If you really want to go for it, check into one of the super-luxe bungalows and make a weekend of it.

  • What about Minneapolis? These are a great start, I can't wait to see more :)

  • Hi Sarah- One of our stylists is actually from Minneapolis. She says that the spa at the Hotel Ivy is really amazing. If you check it out, let me know what you think!
