Our studio sets the standard for contemporary letterpress work. We began in 1999 with a vision of uniquely combining design and production skills in modern letterpress work. Our studio currently produces it’s own design and letterpress projects in addition to printing custom work from for an impressive list of agencies and design firms across the United States. In our design services, we are committed to making distinctive work that engages the senses. In our printing, we are committed to making letterpress one of the most premium and relevant production methods for contemporary design.
specialties: Custom letterpress work for other designers. Designers gravitate toward our studio with a desire to produce something really special. Working alongside those designers, we use extensive production knowledge to produce unique projects. We constantly share with our clients advice gained from a decades worth of experience in design and letterpress.
On projects where we both design and print for a client, our specialty is a style uniquely suited to the modern letterpress printing process. We work with the clients budget and needs to maximize the press sheet so they get the most bang for their buck.
biggest project: 100,000 cotton business cards for a large real estate company, with edge coloring, A five color poster on 220lb cover stock with tight color registration, Multiple processes make things interesting. We've done business card production combining letterpress, foil stamping and laser cutting. Design and production of materials for American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Minnesota for design camp. lots of florescent color and unique paper stocks.
