Last night was a fantastic night at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. We invited lots of blogging friends to come and experience our first ever Bloggers' Night Out. Highlights were of course getting to see lots of our blogger friends and getting to meet bloggers who we only know from reading their blogs. For the weddings area we tried to give the bloggers a little "taste" of our weddings brand and some of the areas we cover here on our blog. (If I could have I would have filled up our entire offices for this -- but with space constraints we kept it to a walkway full of wedding ideas and fun.) Of course a huge thanks to our fabulous Jenn Andrlik, our online editor, and Anthony Luscia, special projects editor, as well as the weddings department for all the inspiration.
In keeping with our pink color palette we of course turned to Dessy for a bridesmaid dress -- being the color center they are in the wedding world today (you'll also see their Pantone color swatch on our details table). And it's so great that Kleinfeld does menswear now so they can help dress the bride & groom for the big day. I love this pink jacket for a destination wedding. I'm a huge fan of Ash + Robbins flower girl dresses featured in our Cherry Blosson story. I need to find a special occasion so I can get them for my daughters.
Wendy "the Pipe Cleaner Lady" was there to make pipe cleaner rings for all of our guests -- so much fun. We can never get enough DIY at Martha Stewart Weddings and what's better than diamonds and DIY?
We love candy, sweets and confections at MSW (not a great place to work if you are trying to diet). Dawn of One Girl Cookies was on hand to set up one of her unbelievably beautiful, dreamy, and DELICIOUS cookie bars -- a very dangerous table to be standing by. We told her our palette was pink, and exactly like she can do for your wedding, she brought the color into the fillings of the cookies and the icing on the cupcakes. You can order cookies and cakes form her, or she can also do a whole table for you, she's so amazing and nice.
And last BUT NOT LEAST was our glam moment -- Paul Labrecque Salon and Spa (who we love for wedding beauty, hair, make up, etc.) was there to apply eye lashes on our bloggers (and I must admit I was the first one in line as were some of our staffers). I'm totally obsessed with Daisy (our makeup artist who did the makeup for our Sandals wedding (coming soon in our destination weddings issue, October 4th) and those false lashes -- now the trick today is to keep those lashes on!!!
Here are some more photos from last night's event, enjoy!

14 Books make a great gift for any bride. Our Cake book is inspirational and has how-tos. Our planning binder is a great complement to our online tools...after all, you need a place to keep swatches, contracts, etc. especially for when you're visiting vendors. Matthew Robbins, made totally gorgeous arrangements.
15 Here's the inside of our wedding scrapbook I published to help brides document their whole wedding experience from engagement through your honeymoon.
18 One Girl Cookies set up a delicious and fabulous display. All the sweets were displayed on our Macy's cake stands...don't forget to add to your bridal registry.
20 Calligrapgher Mara from Neither Snow, whose beautiful work is featured in our summer issue, was on hand with fantastic post cards with unique stamps, which she calligraphed special dates onto for our bloggers. Anything from your birthday to your wedding date. I love that Vanessa Holden had her write the day she met her husband.
21 Our Flutters of Romance theme is one of my favorite weddings in our weddings program at Sandals. Here is the cake, small cupcakes, and bouquet -- a combination of two popular trends -- butterflies & pink!!!
22 Daisy from Paul Labrecque Salon who did makeup and eye lashes at the event last night. It was a huge hit!
25 Of course we had to show samples of some of our favorite DIY ideas from the summer issue, all of which can be found and downloaded here http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/floral-clip-art

Yes! Darcy, please tell us the designer of the lace tiered wedding gown with the pink sash. It's beautiful. I love the 50's style of it!
