This weekend I went to the most beautiful wedding at The Frick in New York City. Not only were the location and bride stunning, but the wedding cake, made by Sylvia Weinstock, well, took the cake! It was simple -- all white -- but it was decorated with the most gorgeous edible flowers. And the best part was the cake itself, a moist chocolate cake with banana-flavored buttercream. It was wonderful! Really one of the best tasting wedding cakes I've ever had. I just love chocolate and banana (it was also the groom's favorite flavor combination) and thought it worked perfectly together in this cake.
