Behind the Scenes: Sandals Wedding Accessories

Posted by

After we finished Liz's fitting -- we tried on some jewelry and accessories. Seemed that since we were traveling to a destination that there were some great costume options for her. Part of the challenge was she wants to look elegant, but its also an island and beach -- not a ballroom. We narrowed it down to two options from Jennifer Miller and she is going to decide once she is there and has her hair done etc. Since her hair is going to be up -- maybe in a low chignon -- we want an earring that will also go with that style up-do -- we're definitely thinking something with a small drop.

After Liz's fitting, picking out the shoes, and jewelry it was time for the veil. We went back and forth with the length of the veil -- is a shorter veil better so it doesn't drag in the sand or is it nice to be a little longer so it can blow in the breeze? Tell us what you think is best for a destination wedding on the beach.

Secret...we ended up with the longer one -- Liz can always hold it around her arm (a trick Vera Wang taught me when I was getting married myself) and she plans to take it off after the ceremony anyway. We also have some flower options for her hair after the veil...stay tuned, we'll be keeping you posted on all of the details here on the blog.
