It's definitely winter outside! Thanks to yesterday's "blizzard," New York is covered in a beautiful blanket of white snow, which inspired me to write about all the ways winter can play a role in your wedding style and decor. In fact, my team was hard at work last weekend on several beautiful winter weddings -- I was so happy to see our studio filled with dozens of lush white blooms.
We had all of my favorites: amaryllis, ranunculus, sweet peas, and anemones. Here are a few images our friends Liza and Ari from Fancy Girl Street Boy captured to inspire you.
And don't think white blooms are your only option. Winter is the perfect season for incorporating beautiful gray and silver tones, like the dusty miller foliage we used to add a touch of velvety texture to our arrangements. The black centers in the anemones are also a perfect accent. In fact, winter weddings tend to be a bit more formal, so the black and white really works for a January or February black tie event.
Let me know what winter wedding ideas are you incorporating into your own wedding. In the meantime, here are some more great winter wedding ideas from the Martha Stewart Weddings site!
