Cakes & Confections: A Willy Wonka-esque Event

Posted by

Last night I got to go to Dylan's Candy Bar party to celebrate her latest Willy Wonka line -- so you're thinking why are you telling me that? This blog is supposed to be all about weddings? Well first, I always say that picking a great movie can be the perfect inspiration for your wedding. When I got married I remember watching Willy Wonka and wanting to do a dessert bar as enthralling as the movie -- well I didn't have chocolate rivers going through the restaurant -- but you can see in my wedding -- along with others that have been featured in MSW -- we love dessert buffets. We also love candy-- from candy buffets to candy cakes to candy favors to candies for the flower girls...for inspiration to create your own candy confections, visit our site, of course Dylan's, and also Amy Atlas.

  • Good point about dessert buffets. The choc fountain has become something of a cliche - there are so many other options out there to be creative.

I often wonder how old the choc is in these fountains anyway....
