Martha Stewart Weddings hits the Katie Couric show
Posted by Darcy Miller
Katie Couric’s whole show tomorrow (Thursday) is devoted to weddings (our favorite subject) and we had a great time sharing expertise as Martha gave Katie tips, tricks, and ideas (maybe even a little inspiration for her own upcoming wedding). Watch the segments to get your planning questions answered and for a fun "fiancé face off showdown" game. Thought we would share the table that Martha showed Katie; it was inspiration for a beach wedding. What I love about these ideas is that they are all easy, you can do most yourself (it's about gathering a few of the right supplies), and some of the DIY ideas are ones you can do ahead of time (no, you should not be making your centerpieces the day of your wedding). They are also great for a destination wedding, where you might not be sure what flowers are available. Hope this inspires you.

2 Our escort cards were nestled in a bed of small shells, (inspired by on of our MSW real weddings from Michelle Rago), and each card from Martha Stewart Craft adorned with an adhesive pearl
3 The centerpieces were glass cylinders filled with sand and a little gold glitter, a pillar candle and decorated with large shells from http://www.seashellworld.com/
4 We painted stones and shells with gold Martha Stewart metallic glaze from Hope Depot to dress up the table. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Martha-Stewart-Living-10-oz-Gold-Dust-Glitter-Paint-HD24-73/202757208#.Uta7PI4g7KE

6 Menu cards were downloaded from the Martha Stewart Weddings template. Each napkin fold had a paper flower made with Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors and a small stone with each guests name hand written on it. http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/225335/menu-template?center=0&gallery=228649&slide=225335
