Tips for the perfect venue lighting (so easy to forget, but so SO! important!)

It's easy to forget how big an impact lighting can have on a wedding venue. Often we visit spaces during the day, with natural light pouring in, surfaces reflecting, and everything washed in daylight colors. Spaces take on a whole new life in the night, and a truly magical new light when lighting experts (like Ira Levy [1]) step in.

I love projected fireworks for summer (see below), or softly glowing orbs out in the lawn.  You may not need as much in the way if physical decor once lighting is considered, either.

Consider visiting your venue at night and checking out images from previous events.  Candles, string lights, and sparklers are gorgeous illuminators, but there are so many cool lighting ideas that may prove to be more economical or unique for your wedding!  (The Levy Lighting [2] gallery is great for inspiration.)
