Guy-style alert! Tired ties get a new life with TieCrafters

Posted by

The disposable culture we live in today reaches into many parts of our life, including our wardrobes. That's one of the things I love about Tie Crafters: they opt out of a wasteful system and seek to make meaningful pieces better, giving a second life to that very important part of a man's wardrobe: the tie!

Take a look in the closet. Chances are there are some ties in there that are handed down from fathers and grandfathers, or maybe there are a few that were last worn at a high school prom! = Maybe their shape is a bit off, most likely they are more than 3.5" wide and just don't look quite right, or maybe they are a bit dingy or stained. = Instead of tossing them and buying new, send these heirlooms to Tie Crafters for a cleaning and updated cut- something between 2.5" and 3" is current but not TOO trendy.

The folks at Tie Crafters can help you determine the perfect cut for your body--a subtle art form that pays off ten-fold.  (How often is "one size fits all" a true statement!?!)

To see just what I mean, take a look at the before and after photos below.  These ties are from the collection of a friend; some handed down to him from a dear neighbor, some purchased on a trip to Italy, and others just came from the '90s :)  All meaningful, but all un-wearable.

  • It may not actually be the lack of the gluten in so much as being the exchanging of the unhealthy foods with fantastic wholesome, real, natural foodstuff. So far, we have is to find a gluten free baking mix from Miss Roben actually pretty good.
