The Love Boat: Jesse and Bret's Wedding

Posted by

On August 31st, 2013, Jesse Lutz and Bret Recor tied the knot on a restored 1920s yacht named Wanda. The couple lives in San Francisco, and the boat is docked not far from there, in Sausalito. The South Carolina and Connecticut natives, respectively, moved to the Bay Area and met while working at the same company. With graphic design backgrounds it was obvious their eye for detail would influence every aspect of their wedding, and the duo put their skills to work creating everything (with help from friends and family) to make their special day feel as authentic to them as a couple as possible.

They chose to have their wedding on Wanda because they both love the contrast of city and nature that San Francisco effortlessly creates. Jesse and Bret found it to be the perfect setting for an intimate party where they could share what they love about the bay with 40 close friends and family. The journey began at 5 p.m. in the harbor on the northeast side of Angel Island.
