I’m in the home stretch! Last week I visited Dr. Shefferman and received my final Invisalign aligners—two more for my top teeth and four more for my bottom teeth. The time has really flown by, and I am so pleased to see how much straighter my teeth are since beginning treatment in June.
With the wedding less than five months away, I also feel like I’m in the home stretch of planning. I am so excited to have everything come together and to celebrate with my friends and family. Thankfully the big things are out of the way, but we still need to select a bakery for our desserts, make our wedding favors, and work on our vows and the overall vision of the ceremony and reception.
Fortunately, I won’t have to worry about my smile at all. With my treatment scheduled to be completely over by the end of January, I’m looking forward to showing off my new smile at all the pre-wedding events and the big day! It’s awesome to feel all the more put together because of my new smile, and I can’t emphasize enough how lucky I feel to have received Invisalign treatment. It was really gratifying to see the progress every two weeks as I changed each set of aligners, which I think is harder to see with traditional braces. And I appreciated the convenience of taking them out when eating and brushing my teeth. One of the biggest pros was that I could undergo treatment without hardly anyone noticing. And I’m amazed at how many friends and family members have asked me about treatment because they have been considering it themselves—of course I recommend it!
Looking back on my blog posts, I can see that I’ve made progress in so many other ways as well. I have definitely started taking MUCH better care of my skin after getting a few facials and receiving specific recommendations. I’ve been continuing my workout routine and have signed up for a 10-miler and a half-marathon to keep me motivated! I’ve also grown out my hair and have booked the hair and make-up stylist, so I’m feeling good.
It has been so fun sharing my journey with Invisalign. It’s pushed me to try some new things and to make changes that will last beyond the wedding, not the least of which is my beautiful new smile. Thanks for reading. And if you are planning your own wedding as well—good luck and all the best!
