EXCLUSIVE! Monique Lhuillier's Enchanted World
Posted by Melissa Colgan
Since launching her first bridal collection 17 years ago, Monique Lhuillier has expanded and evolved her brand to include bridesmaid dresses, ready-to-wear, shoes, jewelry, tabletop, crystal and barware, and home fragrances. Though every stage brings something new and exciting, her brand's DNA is always apparent.
And boy, never was her romantic, ethereal, elegant style more evident than last night, when she launched her Fall 2014 bridal collection in New York City.
In an effort to showcase all things Monique Lhuillier, the wedding gowns were shown against a dreamy forest backdrop in her Manhattan showroom. But the dresses were just a portion of what was on view. She set tables with her collections for Wedgwood and Waterford, filling vases with plush arrangements of peonies and hydrangeas; her fine jewelry was nestled amongst mounds of moss and tucked into rose petals, all encased in glass cloches; and perhaps most mesmerizing was the display of her footwear, which appeared to have fallen just so into a forest of tangled branches, winding vines, and gilded birdcages.
You have to see the photos to believe just how breathtaking a scene Monique set!

2 Upon entering Monique Lhuillier's fantastical garden we were greeted with this amazing jungle of shoes!
3 Since launching last year, Monique's footwear has delighted both brides and editors with pretty laces, soft colors, and au courant styles.
4 Monique produces china, crystal, flatware and barware through Wedgwood and Waterford. She styled the table here as she would in her own home-—mixing patterns to keep the formal from seeming too stuffy.
5 Barware, blossoms, and china all working together beautifully.
6 One of Monique's newest ventures is a jewelry line for Blue Nile. The collection includes engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. While many of the pieces would look beautiful with her wedding gowns, some, like her stud earrings and diamond tennis bracelets, are understated enough to wear on your average Tuesday.
7 Event production company Van Wyck & Van Wyck created the gorgeous flower arrangements as well as the oasis of plants for the shoe display.
8 We were all lucky enough to take home one of Monique's signature candles.
9 I chose Gardenia—one of my favorite scents—but the other varieties, like Pink Peony and Champagne (pictured here) are lovely, too.
