You've witness how excited we get about the nuptials of perfect strangers. Imagine, then, how we lose our minds when one of our own decides to say 'I Do'?? On Monday morning, our managing editor Lindsay strolled into the office, wearing this on her perfectly manicured ring finger:
Louie Kestenbaum at Ideal Cut Diamonds (516-375-5040) is responsible for the oval diamond solitaire, platinum-set dazzler. The other ring is about 60 years old and belonged to her paternal grandmother. "My grandfather would give my grandma this exact style ring every time she had a baby, so there are five of these rings total floating around in my family," Lindsay says. "My grandpa was an innovator—gifting 'Push Presents' before they were a thing.'
Lindsay and her fiancé Vinny plan to wed over the Thanksgiving holiday with just 7 relatives in tow: four parents, two sisters, one brother-in-law. As we advise all brides-to-be, they picked their venue—the W Retreat & Spa, Vieques Island, Puerto Rico—before they decided on anything else. They fell in love with the resort after having drinks there during a vacation in PR.
As for the rest? Well, Lindsay will be blogging about her dress, shoes, jewelry, Vinny's suit, the ceremony music and readings, the drinks, food, flowers, décor cake, everything! Lindsay will share her journey to Mrs. with you. But for now, a loud "Huzzah!" from all of us here at MSW to Linds, Vin, and their pride and joy, Petey the English Bulldog.
