COLOR INSPIRATION: Whitewash + Chambray

Posted by

With just four days left until the summer (technically) ends, I'm reflecting on two of my favorite parts of the season almost past: cloudless blue skies and white sandy beaches. Also, a good friend of mine recently vacationed in Greece, and her Instagram feed filled me with travel envy. So as a farewell to summer and a nod to the awesome, simple beauty of the Greek isles, here's a palette that, despite being inspired by a specific season and location, could work for a wedding or honeymoon—any date, any place.

THE DETAILS, clockwise from top right:

1. The patterned envelope liners of the social stationery over at Mr. Boddington's Studio are so fun (boxed sets from $27.50). Add a pop of color to invitations by making your own unique liners with our easy-to-use templates. 2. I love the intricate design on this Greek stamp. Consider using vintage postage from Champion Stamp Company on the envelopes in your wedding stationery suite. 3. Cloth & Stone's "Amabel Chambray Shirt" at Anthropologie ($88) is a classic and versatile piece to bring along on your post-I-Do sojourn. 4. Same goes for these comfy "Classic Stripe" espadrilles in light navy and white by Soludos ($36). 5. Get blissfully lost in the streets of Mykonos! Or check out our "Honeymoon Guide to Greece" to strategize a four-stop Grecian getaway to Athens, Metéora, Hydra, and Santorini.

  • Nice colour palette, I love the buildings and colours found around the Greek islands.
