News Flash: Badgley Mischka's First NYC Shop Opens
Posted by Carrie Goldberg
Mark Badgley and James Mischka need no introduction—they're the oh-so-talented duo behind some of your (and our!) favorite bridal looks. They're also newlyweds, and the proud proprietors of an exquisite boutique in Manhattan that just opened this week. The two-level space houses everything Badgley Mischka.
I was lucky enough to visit yesterday and snap a few photos before the crowds of excited uptown ladies, downtown party girls, and brides stormed through the front door. Check out the bridal salon and a few of my favorite pieces from the racks!
Badgley Mischka's new two-story boutique is located at 24 East 64th Street in New York City, between Fifth and Madison Avenues. Photo courtesy of glam.com.
Gowns galore! In the shop's bridal suite, all the dresses from the pair's latest collection—as well as some classics—will be stocked.
These numbers are from Badgley Mischka's latest bridal collection—which is your favorite?
I fell in love with this illusion T-shirt silk fit-and-flare gown, appropriately named "Audrey."
The "Rita" gown was the finale look at the design duo's latest bridal runway show. Check out that dramatic back! Head upstairs to the couture atelier to try it on in black.
These six dresses and two veils are sure to make some future brides veeerrrrrrry happy.
For a romantic yet totally glamorous look, I love the "Marilyn," a beaded gown with an high illusion neckline and a Chantilly lace skirt.
Are you a fan of all things Art Deco? This dress isn't a piece from the official bridal collection, but it would be so perfect for a "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding.
The Fall/Winter 2013 red carpet gowns! I'm crazy about with the long sleeved, all over beaded gown, seen front right. It also comes in ivory for a more traditionalists, but some brides could pull off saying 'I Do' in this blush version.
Pretty in pinks! How much fun is that feathered shift?! Two words: Rehearsal dinner.
I'm into this trio of to-die-for dark Deco-y gowns, but I'd probably want dress on the right if I had to pick just one.
Right after I snapped a shot of these branch chandelier earrings, a stylist snagged them for a VIP!
The new shop also carries the brand's accessories, such as this reception-ready clutch in gold for you ...
...or in black and silver for your MOH or MOB.
These evening shoes with a bit of plumage are a nod to the feathered trend we spotted all over the Fall/Winter runways.
I'm wild about this black lacquered cross body bag—it has a chain for a casual daytime look. Tuck the chain away (as shown above) and it's a dressy evening clutch.
Stumped when it comes to outfitting your mother for your special day? Head to the store's Ready-to-Wear room for sophisticated options you'll both adore.
Everywhere you turn in this place, there's a gorgeous dress.
And just when I thought my tour had come to a close, I spotted the most amazing piece for a day-after brunch!
