We have so many amazing DIY projects and templates on Martha Stewart Weddings and are always thrilled to see how our readers have used them for their own wedding celebrations. So when reader Lauren sent us this image of our Classic Table Number template, we couldn't wait to share it! The templates themselves look great, but we especially love the personal touch Lauren brought to the project. Read how she made it her own below.
"We altered the template artwork to include a drawing of a mason jar with lightning bugs and handwritten directions to guests that read, 'We support catch-and-release lightning bug hunting. Enjoy!' We drilled extra holes in the lids and once the sun went down, everyone saw what we meant. My parents' home is surrounded by woods and hedgerows and on summer nights, it all lights up with fireflies. It was a big part of my childhood and we wanted our wedding to include all of sorts of things that make that home so special to me and so personal to us."
Do you have a DIY project you'd like to share? If so, we'd love to see it! Post photos of your craftiness on Twitter or Instagram, and tag snaps with #mymarthawedding for a chance to be featured on our blog!
