Last week was very exciting for me. Not only did I take part in my very first photo shoot, but I got to tour the amazing Martha Stewart Headquarters in New York City!
The photo shoot was scheduled primarily to capture my “pre-Invisalign” smile, but the overall experience was amazing. I showed up at the Starrett-Lehigh Building at 9 a.m. in my very own black car and was quickly escorted to the 12th floor where I was treated to my three favorite things: breakfast, hair and makeup! I felt like a princess getting pampered and it was an absolute pleasure meeting the staff. Before long it was time to take some photos and start playing dress up. I was quite nervous, but as the photographer started to direct me and snap a few shots something unexpected happened—an adorable French bulldog ran in and everyone started cracking up, especially me! The cute little dog, who I really wanted to take home with me, helped me relax and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience; which is exactly what I needed to do!
After a few outfit changes, and the realization that I was not actually a contestant on Top Model, I was able to get the grand tour of the entire Martha Stewart office. As you can probably imagine, it was incredible, the epitome of perfection. Every corner we turned I was mesmerized by the décor and the life-size Pinterest boards that were everywhere. My favorite part was definitely the test kitchens. It just made me want to whip up a cake! I even posed with some of Martha Stewart’s signature wedding cakes above me.
Invisalign Update: Last week, my orthodontist, Dr. Frank Celenza in Manhattan, shared with me a video of how my teeth will shift through the course of my treatment plan. It was exciting to see how everything will go into place. My next appointment is next week, and I will be able to pick up my aligners and start the exciting process of straightening my teeth!
I can’t wait to share my next blog and update you on my new aligners.
Disclosure: I have received complimentary treatment from Invisalign in exchange for blogging about my bridal journey and treatment, and all opinions expressed are my own.
