Shades of Pink: Sweet and Saucy Shop's Cake

Pink is a sweet color to start with, but when paired with actual sweets it's absolute perfection. Our latest color palette [2]boasts little bites and bubbles to enjoy on the big day, but when it came to a cake, I thought I'd see what Melody Brandon would dream up.
Melody is the head pastry chef and co-owner of Southern California's beloved bakery and cake studio Sweet & Saucy Shop [3], which has two locations in Long Beach and Newport Beach.
Melody was inspired by the gorgeous shades of pink that are all around this time of year and when she saw the website Wedding Chicks [4] and noticed their blog background pattern, she knew it would be the perfect design on a cake! Melody loves the modern lines with the pattern and square tiers, but also the softness of the cake design with the light shades of pink. We do too!
