Shades of Pink: Antiquaria's Invite Suite

Posted by

Antiquaria is the brainchild of designers/dish lovers Bailey Amon and Emma James. Offering gift registry services for fine vintage housewares, an extensive line of custom stamps and a boutique design studio, they bring their vision and unique aesthetic to life through their website.

For this pink series, they designed a stationery suite inspired by everyone's favorite pink bird. Imagined for a couple getting married in Malibu, the fun colors feel just like Palm Beach, where they met. Baily and Emma used a vintage flamingo postcard as the starting point for the suite design. The postcard piece was digitally printed on linen stock to give it a true vintage feel. The subtle stripes on the letterpress invitation evoke the stylish awnings that can be found on many of the beach cottages in the area. Calligrapher Bailey Amon hand-penned the entire invitation using mod uppercase lettering to bring a little retro Cali style into the mix. They continued the pink on pink vibe with the use of a bright flamingo pink liner inside a ballet pink envelope and tied the whole thing together with a silk hand-dyed pink ribbon.
