Outstanding In The Field

Posted by

I was recently invited to attend an Outstanding in the Field culinary adventure. This amazing organization sets up family style dining experiences around the country to reconnect dinners to the land and the origins of their food. And, to honor the local farmers and wineries who cultivate it.

Clark Staub from Full of Life Flatbreads in Los Alamos, California, made an incredible five-course meal as we all sat at one long simply dressed table among the vines at Ampelos vineyard in Lompoc. We were all asked to bring our own dinner plate which was a charming touch to the family style meal.

To me, this is a perfect way to serve a more casual but delicious meal at a wedding. It really focuses on the local and seasonal food wherever and whenever your wedding is, and brings all of your closest family and friends together at one table.
