Best Dressed: The 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Posted by

With award season just kicking off and engagement season well under way, everyone's talking about gowns this time of year. Last night's Golden Globe Awards had me pleasantly surprised with who I considered to be the best dressed.

While I did love the deep jewel tones, soft pastels and graphic pops of bold hues making their appearance at the Globes, I was thrilled to see a few celebrities wearing bridal gowns (yes, bridal gowns!) to walk the red carpet. Nominee Julia Louis Dreyfuss wore a Vera Wang gown from her fall 2012 bridal collection; Julianne Hough edged up Monique Lhuillier's "Treasure" bridal gown; Kristin Bell sported a baby bump along with "Rapunzel," the finale gown from Jenny Packham's most recent bridal collection; and Amy Adams wore a ballet pink version of a lace-topped mermaid gown from Marchesa that I could easily envision in ivory. Lastly, Lucy Liu donned an update of Carolina Herrera's "Ilona" bridal gown—hers was a pastel blue and floral print instead of the ivory and taupe version that walked the runway. While all of the above ladies looked stunning in their aisle-worthy styles, check out a few other stars who took my breath away.

  • Every lovely lady that attended The Golden Globe Awards wore a dress that was stunning in every aspect of modern fashion. I definitely had my 'eye' on Dreyfuss for wearing a fashionable Vera Wang gown. You Go Girl!
