Creating wedding décor from paper has been something near and dear to my heart, and of course, the creative possibilities with invitations are simply endless. I recently bought two new books that put the spotlight on contemporary artists who use paper as their magic medium: Paper Works and Paper Cutting.
While the art within these pages runs the gamut from radical (installations filling major museum galleries with tidal waves of paper) to intricate (lace-like laser cuts that create elegant cast shadows within the walls of a picture frame), there are a million inspiring ideas that can be recast as celebration décor or party stationery. Many of these bigger ideas can be achieved on a more personal scale for less money.
I love to find wedding ideas in places not specifically intended for brides and grooms, and these books are chock full of ‘em! Where do you find inspiration?
