On the quiet Upper East Side, down a flight of unassuming stone stairs, lies Samuel Shriqui Salon. I visited it for a manicure (it's also home to Essie's Flagship salon), but was surprised by the brand-spankin'-new renovations, like sliding doors that enable uninterrupted private parties, and an immaculate back courtyard.
Ah, the courtyard. So sweet, so intimate, and so ready to be transformed for any event. Check out photos below to see how the salon's little gem has been dressed up for past occasions. It'd be an ideal space for a spa-themed bachelorette (think manis, blowouts, and wedding appropriate makeup provided by the talented Steven Rice) or a sophisticated bridal shower.

This is such a great bridal shower idea! The outdoor space is so pretty!
