Holiday Gift Guide: Shira's 8 Great Ideas

Posted By Shira Savada On December 11, 2012 @ 10:00 am In Gifts | 1 Comment

Holiday time is upon us, so it's all about parties, traditions, and fun. Well, yeah, and giving and receiving gifts, too. In honor of Hanukkah, I've picked eight things I think would be great additions to any list, one for each night of the festival of lights.

Follow the jump for the low-down on these gifts.

I've been hooked on the Fresh Cosmetics [2] line for years. One of my favorites is their Sugar lip treatment and the other varieties of this highly addictive balm. Just because it tis the season for air kisses, doesn't mean your pucker shouldn't be perfectly moisturized. I'd be stoked to expand my collection but think that any gal would be lucky to get this new set of eight. [3]

It may be cold outside but it's never too cold for ice cream. Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams [4] is the best of the best and guess what? They ship! Four pints of this in my freezer would be a nice way to bring in the new year but they also make great party additions. Consider some of their seasonal flavors [5].

This new weekend tote [6] from Baggu [7] is on my list. With multiple strap options, a zipper closure, and inner pocket, it's great for hauling loot.

Ok, here's a great hostess gift or stocking stuffer: Woodhouse Chocolate's [8] Milk Chocolate Caramels with Bali Sea Salt [9]. The packaging is an added bonus since you don't really need to wrap them!

Another good hostess gift or present for your foodie friends? Olive oil [10] from Frankies Sputino [11]. This is a spot-on gift option for Hanukkah, since the holiday is all about oil!

I received a version of this West Elm [12] chunky tassel throw blanket [13] for a holiday present and love cozying up on my couch with it. The weight is just right and it's super soft.

Yes, I love cards and tags. And wrapping presents. I also like mixing it up and using other materials. Consider Roonie Co. [14]'s holiday tags [15], made from polymer clay and hand stamped with seasonal cheer.

Last but not least, a gift that fits the bill for any traveler (or soon-to-wed couple as a honeymoon necessity)—custom leather luggage tags [16] from Cocosheaven [17]. With stamped modern typography there's no confusion at the baggage claim carousel.
