Confetti Time

Posted by

Tossing rice or confetti at a wedding is a fun, long-standing tradition. It also happens to be a festive thing to do on New Year's Eve. So, with tonight's celebrations in mind, here are a few of my favorite confetti tosses from real weddings. Happy 2013, everyone!

Guests at Marnie and Jaime's New Year's Eve wedding in Seattle, Washington, went wild when the clock struck midnight.

Pompoms stood in for classic rice at Jeanette and Nicholas's New Jersey fete.

Joanne and Luke wed at San Francisco's City Hall, but City regulations forbid celebrants from throwing confetti at City Hall, so they showered the couple after lunch.

Attendees at Libby and Weldon's wedding in Marrakech, Morocco, rang in the New Year with confetti at midnight.

Guests showered Jayme and Chris with biodegradable white confetti at their Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, wedding.

Glassine flowers and tissue dots rained down on Sharon and Francis as they emerged from the church in Tennessee.
