Real Weddings: Nisse and Matt, Chicago, IL

How cute are those flower girls? They fit right in at this dreamy Chi-town wedding, whose pretty palette (peach, coral, and gray with accents of aqua, emerald, and lavender) extended to soft flowers, pastel sweets, and a spot-on stationery suite. One of my favorite details is the unique ceremony location: The service took place in the grand staircase of the Art Institute of Chicago, with loved ones surrounding them and looking on from an upper balcony. See all of these details and more, with photos by Olivia Leigh Photographie, in this gallery from Nisse and Matt's wedding.

  • I happen to be a big fan of the flower girls, too - especially since one of them is my daughter! What a treat to see her adorn the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings. Nisse is my cousin and asked my daughter, Carson, and another cousin's daughter, Tess, to be her flower girls. Hearing that they'd be wearing flouncy tutus, the two preschoolers could hardly resist... It was a beautiful wedding and we are all so happy for Nisse and Matt!
