Jason Tucker and Tyler Williams: Fiances for about a minute at Lincoln Center.
Looking at these elated faces you'd never know it wasn't love at first sight for Tyler and Jason. "He'll openly tell you he hated me," says Tyler, after he beat out Jason for a part in Cabaret. "But by closing night, we were inseparable."
Six years and a diamond from Tiffany's later, these New Yorkers are now officially inseparable, and I just love how it happened:
I always thought I would be the one to propose, but Jason decided to surprise me. We were celebrating our anniversary on a Friday evening, so that morning—after much thought—he ran to Tiffany & Co. before work and got a ring. After we finished an amazing dinner at Lincoln Ristorante, we came out to the fountain in the courtyard of Lincoln Center for a photo-op. After we took our picture, he pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. I was totally stunned! I said, "yes," and immeadiatly after, a group of my best friends came out of hiding to surprise me. (Jason had coordinated everyone to come together that day.) We ambushed a nearby restaurant and celebrated with champagne. —Tyler

Tyler actually declared his love for this platinum band years ago, and Jason took note. "There isn't a good variety of men's rings out there, but I always thought this one was perfect," says Tyler. "I'll get him a matching ring, which I'll of course give to him in a festive manner, so I can't reveal too much on that yet. We’ll then get them engraved for our wedding."
Right now, the duo is thinking about a fall 2013 wedding in New York. "We're going to keep it intimate and focus on throwing a great party, ideally with a great view of the city." Can't wait to hear the story behind proposal #2? Stay tuned!
