It seems like the price of chalkboards have gone way up since they started becoming a wedding decor staple. Used as welcome signs or to proclaim the menu, signature drinks, and the way to the bathroom, manufacturers and sellers have picked up on the rustic appeal they lend nuptials and know they're in demand.
Pursuing a couple for my own big day, I've been scouring Craigslist, Etsy, online flea markets, etc., but found the best bargain at my local IKEA. The Mala Easel is only $14.99. Love it! Pick it up!

Never seen this at any of my wedding party. I saw some more colorful DIY billboard. How many brides there will like one of those.... ?

This is exceptional and very trendy indeed! I have found that whenever you mention the "W" word to any type of Vendor they seem to grasp the chance and put up the price! Not so fair if you may ask me.
A good tip for any bride or planner planning a wedding is to as far as possible not mention the word wedding when searching for wedding ideas and getting quotes from vendors. Also try and arrange for most of the accessories to be picked up in person or a delegate so to keep the vendor from knowing that it is a wedding.
This is just to share a money saving tip. Use your imagination!
