Nothing is as exciting as attending a wedding. Even if you don't know the couple, doesn't everyone stop and stare at a bride coming out of a church? So when we heard about all the wonderful personalized weddings that Alex Pelling and Lisa Gant have hosted around the world, we knew they needed a custom New York City-inspired ceremony done by Martha Stewart Weddings.
Our husband-and-wife-to-be, Alex Pelling and Lisa Gant, hail from the UK and have been holding wedding ceremonies throughout the world since 2011. For their 26th (yes, you read that correctly) ceremony, our team has been working around the clock to make sure the couple's celebration is truly unforgettable, from the bride's Monique Lhuillier gown to a live performance by Steve Tyrell.
Every year we host a fabulous celebration to kick off Bridal Fashion Week, drawing the top bridal fashion designers, cake designers, and more, so tonight's party was perfect timing to host Alex and Lisa's nuptials. Martha will be officiating, which you're invited to watch! Join us on Facebook at 6:30 p.m. (EST) tonight as we livestream all the details of the couple's ceremony and reception.
The final sweet detail: The jet-setting couple has teamed up with Zankyou Wedding Registry in an effort to increase awareness for UNICEF, the leading children’s charity protecting the rights of children and young people around the world. If you make a donation to UNICEF through Alex & Lisa’s registry, you'll be entered for a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to the couple’s final and actual wedding (they are not legally married yet) at their favorite destination in 2014.
